Accurate astronomical calculation

Find your Moon sign—and know when time matters.

The Moon moves faster than any other major chart body. A precise time gives the clearest degree; unknown-time results show the day’s uncertainty.

What this calculator uses

The Moon travels roughly 12–15 degrees per day and sometimes changes signs within a civil date. We calculate its ecliptic longitude from an exact UTC instant when time is known.

For an unknown birth time, the result uses local noon and compares the Moon at the beginning and end of that local day.

All positions use the tropical zodiac. When time is known, houses use the Placidus system. Calculations are deterministic; no AI is used to produce astronomical coordinates.
